Enjoying the third grade Coffee House today. They are reciting poems dealing with social studies, math and other areas of study in Mrs Ivester's third grade! Hmmm I'm gonna have to skip her an art one to add in for next year.

Studio Assistants

The group of students who join the Ideals students to come and work with WES kindergarten Merit Academy students have named themselves, Studio Assistants. They are an amazing group of 4-6 students who create alongside these darlins. Today we completed our Lego printing by using primary colors to paint them.

Paper mâché with first grade

First graders embarked on the journey of paper mâché. Paired with their science unit on the moon, we begin creating moons using paper mâché. Next week we will add craters.

Art ideals and tutors teamed up with kindergarteners from Merit academy to create Lego prints after looking at Piet Mondrian.

The Adventures of Bear

To kick off Younf Authors Month kindergarteners created a character, Bear and began illustrating his adventures. In class they will be writing a journal entry for Bear that will go together as a class book.

Phase One: still life

Students auditioning for Art Ideals were challenged to draw this still life in part or whole, beginning with line in a 30 minute time limit.
