Welcome back to the Studio!

Artists are pouring back into the studio and starting the year creating and making.

Kindergarteners at Wright used their scientist skills to experiment with primary colors.

While fourth graders participated in the Studio Olympics to review studio rules, procedures and knowledge. This is the crayon collection collaboration event.

Moon phases for first grade

First grade artists are completely their moon phase projects with black paint. First drawn in crayon, then painted crayon twist is perfect for this phase!

Pixies snuck into the studio again today, they seem to enjoy painting and laughing. I got a lesson in grass and sky!

Little Architexts

Kindergarten has been studying habitats and what better art form to tie in than architexture! We read Iggy Peck and Roberto, Insect Architect and then began blue prints using large Legos as stamps...amazing habitats were created by such creative artists!

Steam Teams

Belton El's third grade is exploding with STEAM! Using their SC knowledge from social studies, they are creating stop motion videos that include face hugs and native animals. Just watch us go!

Pumpkin paradise

Yesterday I was greeted by two little ones who had visions of painted pumpkins. So we did...as we talked about light source and colors blending we created giant pumpkins! (Don't tell Charlie Brown)

At Belton El we are wrapping up our one school one book program with Art projects that reflect the theme and message on The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate. Each grade had s different visual problem to solve. Peek into our studio and see the artists at work
